Campers experience the thrill of mastering mountain biking as they hit the trails in our Mountain Biking Day Camp. With help from our seasoned instructors, campers spend the week practicing mountain biking skills, learning bicycle maintenance basics and traversing the terrain of some of Boulder’s best beginner parks and trails.
Our campers’ adventures are carefully customized so they progress as their comfort and skill level grows. We also group kids by grade—2nd – 4th graders in our Skills Camp, 5th – 7th graders on the Adventure Team—to be sure they’re in good company as they build confidence and further their mastery of mountain biking.
Mountain Biking Day Camp campers should be comfortable riding on dirt on two wheels. While we strongly encourage campers to use their own bikes, we can provide bikes (and helmets) as needed. Learn about our Pin Program!

Keagan loves working for Avid4 Adventure because he believes that spending time in the outdoors is not only fun, but vital for a happy, healthy life. He was lucky enough to grow up exploring the outdoors most of his life and wants to introduce that lifestyle to as many kids as possible.
Keagan holds a Bachelor in Social Work from SUNY Plattsburgh and has worked as an outdoor leader in an adventure-based counseling program, a snowboard instructor at Bristol Mountain and Arapahoe Basin, a professional slackliner at Slackline Industries, and at Powder7 Ski Shop. Keagan is also a certified Wilderness First Responder.
Keagan’s favorite part of Avid4 Adventure is supporting kids to have unique and authentic adventures. He is no stranger to unique adventures, having highlined and slacklined all over the country, traveled to 48 states and over 15 countries, and snowboarded all winter for 20 years. When Keagan isn’t on a slackline or snowboard, you can find him enjoying a good breakfast burrito, playing music, or riding his horse.
While no outdoor adventure is totally risk-free, we work hard to keep your campers safe. Every activity starts with a discussion about the risks involved—what they are, how to prevent them, how to respond if something goes wrong—so campers learn how to approach challenges with intelligence and skill.
