This fun and safety-focused Mountain Biking Camp offers kids the opportunity to ride different Boulder trails throughout the week. During camp participants develop skills through increasingly challenging activities, exercises, and differing terrain, while developing team building and individual leadership skills with their peers. Basic bike maintenance skills like changing flats and solving gear problems are also included.
We strongly encourage participants to use their own bicycles during this program to allow for greatest transfer of skill development, however we can provide helmets and mountain bikes if needed. Please make sure your child is comfortable on dirt with two wheels before registering for this program. Age-appropriate trails may include the Eagle Trail, Marshall Mesa, CU Research Park, and Dowdy Draw.
Introduce your kids to the spectacular Boulder area by mountain biking the diverse trails and terrain in and around Boulder. All ability levels are welcome to experience our great skills and trails progression for this 5-day intensive program. Each day begins and ends at the camp meeting location from where the group will either bike or be shuttled to Boulder’s finest beginner bike parks, trails, and single track. As with all Avid4 Adventure programs, participants will also enjoy fun games, unique team building and individual challenges within a safety-oriented, supportive and empowering social setting.
The Multi-sport camps are a great starting point for children to begin a full summer of adventure.
Returning campers or activity enthusiasts should continue the summer with single sport camps including kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and more…
For a full summer of Avid4 Adventures, start with a classic multi-sport experience, learn advanced skills in some single sport camps, and participate in a family camping trip or the classic Camp Eden Overnight Resident Camp.
