The best way to enjoy the hot summer days is on the water in our Denver Canoe & Kayak Day Camp! This five day Canoeing and Kayaking Camp  is designed specifically for kids.  This fun and safety-oriented water and paddle program is loaded with group games and adventure challenges to entertain and educate each participant, while deepening friendships and fostering new ones. Canoeing and kayaking on both flat and potentially moving water (depending on group ability and river conditions) provides the basis for a great week of summer camp.

Times, Meeting Location, & Dates:

Times: Drop-off at 8:45am and pick-up at 2:30pm. Optional Extended Care is available from 8:00am – 5:30pm.

Meeting Location: Meets at St. John’s Lutheran Church (no affiliation) 700 South Franklin Street Denver, CO 80209

2012 Dates:

  • Ages 7-9: June 4-8, July 30 – August 3
  • Ages 10-12: June 11-15

  • 1-3 days of canoeing skills, team building, rescue techniques, and adventure challenge
  • 1-3 days of basic kayak skills and rescue techniques
  • 1 day of advanced kayak skills in whitewater kayaks

Overview for Denver Canoe & Kayak Day Camp:

Five days of paddling on the water is exactly what summers are meant for. We designed this program specifically for kids who would like a complete introduction to water skills and safety and those looking to improve and deepen skills acquired from our basic camp program. Each day is filled with games and challenges to provide for the most complete and healthy experience possible. Our instructor team will be led by certified American Red Cross and American Canoe Association certified professionals. All technical equipment is provided by Avid4 Adventure.
