Day Camp: Valmont Bike Park Skills Camp

Vital Details

This fun and safety focused Valmont Bike Park Skills Camp offers kids the opportunity to explore this world-renowned facility in a safety focused, instruction based program. During the week participants develop skills through increasingly challenging activities, exercises, and differing terrain, while also developing as a team. Kids will have a chance to experience the Pump Tracks, Dirt Jumps, Slopestyle, Single Track Cross Country, and much more. Trail and Park etiquette and Leave No Trace bike skills will also be taught. Participants have focused and personalized attention with one instructor to no more than six kids.

Participants will be divided into groups by ability so that we can best facilitate a progressive learning environment. Friend requests can be honored only if ability levels align. This program is appropriate for kids at any ability that want to increase their skills. The Valmont Bike Park offers a variety of terrain and difficulty to keep even the most enthusiastic biker well engaged for a lifetime.  This is a great camp to do for multiple weeks!  Kids are grouped by ability and will continue to develop skills all summer long.

This program is similar to our Mountain Bike Intensive in its progressive skills approach, but this program focuses on the various types of terrain and bicycle disciplines found exclusively in the Park. Our Mountain Bike Intensive focuses on skills to ride single track trails and obstacles found on cross country rides.

We encourage participants to use their own bicycles during this program to allow for greatest transfer of skill development, however, we can provide helmets and bikes specifically designed for the bike park for an additional $50 rental fee per week. Elbow and knee pads are also required for this program. You can bring your own or we can provide them for $15 for the week.
