Camp Eden Packing List

Camp Eden Packing List

What to Bring

PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ADDITION TO THIS LIST, 10-14 YEAR OLDS DOING THE 2-WEEK CAMP EDEN MUST BRING ADDITIONAL ITEMS IN ORDER TO BE SAFE AND COMFORTABLE DURING THEIR ESTES PARK ADVENTURES (see below).

All items must be clearly labeled with the child’s first and last name. Parents are asked to provide their child/children with the following items:

  • A duffel bag, large backpacking pack, or suitcase that can hold the following belongings (belongings will be stored in this bag in the cabin for the week of camp).
  • A daypack, sized to fit your child, that can fit an extra warm layer, rain gear, warm hat, two water bottles and lunch.
  • Sleeping Bag- Most practical is a mummy-type, three-season bag with a temperature rating of 20 degrees or lower. Avid4 Adventure has rental sleeping bags available for a nominal cleaning fee.
  • Flashlight or Headlamp and extra batteries
  • Warm clothing for any weather. Campers should have an outer waterproof layer (rain jacket or poncho that will not soak through in heavy rain), and two warm layers (not cotton because it gets cold when wet, but fleece jackets, wool sweaters, etc. work well). Please also include at least two pairs of long pants (long pants must be worn for horseback riding), and a warm hat. Wind breakers are a nice option in addition. Kids have fun in all weather conditions, as long as they are warm!
